Yes! The new conference registration reflects several big changes in 2017.
To help writers better connect with editors and travel professionals, a new conference kickoff reception is scheduled for April 23 with hosted food and drink. Our popular Networking Mixer will still be held on the 24th.
All Beginning Track writers will take five workshops led by industry experts. (Previously, it was just two).
Beginning Track writers get a Q&A Session with magazine editors to learn about freelance writing.
All experienced writers will take two advanced workshops. (Select from four choices; experienced writers may opt for Beginning Track workshops instead).
Experienced Track writers will also get four sessions with regional DMO exhibitors to brainstorm story ideas, press trips, and more.
And the conference welcomes its most established keynote speaker to date, Irene Edwards, the editor in chief of Sunset Magazine. This year, the conference keynote speaker will participate in a panel discussion, in addition to sharing tricks of the trade in a keynote presentation.
